1 de oct. de 2023 · Because that is the thing, I am fairly confident that most of the problems with cars 2 lies within the writing. Anyways listen to its fin mcmisile on YouTube it’s really good. Also can we just get a D+ series just called “fin mc missile” which is basically cars 2, 2! With more fun action and cool car focused gadgets
Cars 2 (IMO) should have been a direct to dvd/home video release. Cars 1 spent so much time world building in Radiator Springs and pushing the ideas of loyalty and friendship with all of the characters that resides there that Cars 2 just seemed to have a “Caper” feel to it and felt like it was thrown together at the last minute.
16 de abr. de 2023 · The real answer is because Owen Wilson attempted suicide in 2007 during pre-production of Cars 2. Pixar wasn’t sure about his availability moving forward but they had already started production. So Pixar delayed the release to 2011, did a total rewrite of the script, and minimized his involvement in case he couldn’t return.
26 de jun. de 2018 · In Cars, Mater sarcastically quips "Is the Popemobile a Catholic?" Then in Cars 2, the Popemobile is inside another car that I assume is called the Popemobilemobile. One of several glaring continuity issues with Cars 2 which is probably why Cars 3 is set a universe where Cars 2 never happened.

27 de dic. de 2020 · Cars 2 definitely speaks more to kids instead of adults, unlike traditional Pixar movies that speak to both. I saw Cars 2 as a kid and liked it, which is probably why I don’t understand why people do not like it. I’m sure it’s not the best movie, but I can’t say that I hate it either. It’s all about perspective!
27 de mar. de 2023 · Even Cars 3 feels like it would be better at marketing towards car people as it has everything from the small local dirt derby races, nostalgia/legacy racers, and sticking it to big corporations that take the heart out of things for profit. Definitely makes Cars 2 feel cheap in that context with how short-sighted its design and execution went.
There’s no rivalries, that first win, or anything. It’s just we are told he’s won. It’s like having a sports movie about Lebron but only say he’s won a lot and it’s mainly about the other moving parts of his life. Cars 2 could’ve been just showing his win those races and then build into the nice European competition.
