30 de may. de 2015 · Sadly, he wouldn't live long enough to fulfill that promise. Radle passed away on May 30, 1980, succumbing to what his website said were "the effects of alcohol and narcotics" at the age of 37.

Derek and the Dominos was born and so was the classic “Layla” album. Jim Price and Bobby Keyes and others also left for Joe Cocker, George Harrison and Eric Clapton.
10 de dic. de 2009 · Isn't that how Carl Radle got fired from Derek and the Dominos? Clapton shows up drunk and Carl offers to tune his guitar for him (because Eric was in no condition to do so) and Clapton flipped out and fired him.

29 de may. de 2009 · Yes, this is true. And bassist Carl Radle died from a heroin overdose shortly after being fired from Eric Clapton's band. Some people believe Radle's death was a suicide.
