Always lino. Bodyguards are too valuable to lose early, especially once skilled. Sucks to be down 3 players from turn 1, but it's part and parcel of playing Nob. (On the bright side, if they survive, you have more than even chance to be able to stall the drive easily, especially with Fend.)

Tomb Guardians (TG) lock the wings with strength 5 and, ideally, the Stand Firm skill. Any team with a maximum strength of 4 in their lineup may have difficulty dislodging them.
