11 de feb. de 2018 · Java required: This Blu-ray disc requires Java for menus support.Java was not found on your system. The disc will be played without menus. I've installed Zulu, which is an OpenJDK port for Windows, as I'm not a great big fan of Java. I did see via ticket # 17713 that JRE 9 is not yet supported, so I also installed the JRE 8 version of Zulu.

Every blu-ray player contains a Java Virtual Machine that runs BD-Java application (usually) present on a blu-ray disc. Java application on a blu-ray disc serves multiple purposes - draws disc menus, selects playlists for playback, and sometimes is used as part of content protection.

BD-J (Java support for bluray) was added since 1.16 version (not all BD-J can be played but most of them), t hat means that menu access/navigation should now work for almost all Blu-Rays. Description of Change. BD-J can be played but to make this works, JAVA installation must be done.
