No, this is the polite thing to do here. Sniffing/snorting is seen as rude, gross and disgusting here. If you must blow your nose, do it or ask for a tissue if you don't have one, people will be thankful for it since we can't stand hearing people with congested noses sniffing instead of blowing their nose. 4.
