The School - A Brief History. BWS - 128 Years of history in one webpage... There had been a grammar school in Salisbury from at least the early 16th Century. The earliest Grammar School (which stood in Exeter Street) had, by the 1560’s, become identified as the Chorister’s School and subsequently as the Cathedral School.
