The Bad Sister (1931) features the debut of Bette Davis. While Ms. Davis is given the good sister role with little to do in the movie, Sidney Fox takes the title role. The movie is thoroughly entertaining and showcases some great performances (David Durand and Zasu Pitts). The worse part is the end of the movie.
Bette Davis does not have luck with movie sisters, huh. You thought people fell in love fast for a 1.5 or 2 hour movie? Well, wait until you see Bad Sister. Features actually silent awkward silence and Humphrey Bogart fleecing folks so not totally a waste of time. I'm glad Bette Davis didn't give up after crying about her debut here.
