She was a plump, scowling girl who was gossipy and not very bright, and she met Peter Pettigrew at an inn in Albania. She was killed by Voldemort after he discovered her memory was poor and she had information about his plans for the Triwizard Tournament and the snake Nagini.

Bertha Jorkins is a character in the Harry Potter book series. Bertha attended Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, a few years above Sirius Black.[3] In the summer of 1994, she was on holiday in Albania.
Bertha was placed under a very powerful Memory Charm by Mr Crouch, so powerful that it damaged her memory permanently. Bertha was captured in Albania by Voldemort. She was tortured by the Dark Lord, and told him a great deal of information as a consequence.
