The Abyss finally comes to Ultra HD 4K Blu-ray, but only in the US, with UK laws prohibiting a single scene of animal abuse, and Cameron uninterested in accommodating any legally required cuts (just to be clear: this is UK law, nothing to do with the BBFC), resulting in the rescinding of the UK release announcement.
