I used to think I was a bad teacher because every time a student complained about me I would be put on informal capability. I quickly realised that I was actually in a very toxic work environment with zero support structures in place for struggling new teachers and where students were enabled to act like entitled bullies by management.

They do not challenge their students, are often behind on grading, show videos often, and give “free” days on a regular basis.
