The screen name "Zouzou" reportedly stems from her zézaiement (lisp) of the consonants 's','j' and 'z'.
Zouzou, born Danièle Ciarlet, was a model, singer and friend of many celebrities in the 60s Parisian scene. She starred in films by Eric Rohmer, Yves Lagrange and others, and wrote an autobiography in 2003.
