Zoe Swicord Kazan nació el 9 de septiembre de 1983, en Los Angeles, California. Hija de los escritores Nicholas Kazan y Robin Swicord, Zoe también es nieta del legendario director de cine Elia Kazan. Zoe estudió artes escénicas en la Universidad de Yale graduándose en el 2005.
