Maureen Starkey Tigrett (born Mary Cox; 4 August 1946 – 30 December 1994), also known as Mo Starkey, was a hairdresser from Liverpool, England, best known as the first wife of Ringo Starr, the Beatles' drummer. When she was a trainee hairdresser in Liverpool, she met him at the Cavern Club, where the Beatles were playing.Starr proposed marriage at the Ad Lib Club in London on 20 January 1965.
Zak Starkey (født 1965) er en engelsk trommeslager, og er mest kjent for å være det første barnet til The Beatles trommeslager Ringo Starr (Richard Starkey) og hans første kone Maureen Cox. That’s why joining The Who, years and years later, must have felt quite natural. Now, you may think Keith Moon was a sort of drum teacher or at least a mentor for Zak, but you would be wrong.

And, while it appears as if the easiest place for Zak Starkey and his wife/band mate Sshh to take a call is in their bedroom while laying on the bed, it’s not done in a Rod Stewart, “I can’t be bothered to get clothed and get out of bed,” extravagant rock-star sort of way.
