Website. http://www.somerhill.org. Yardley Court is a private day preparatory school for boys in Tonbridge, Kent, England, founded in 1898 by Arthur Bickmore and his wife Lilian. It now forms part of Somerhill, a public school in the British sense of the term.
Yardley Court is our prep section for boys aged 7 to 13. Boys move up from Pre-Prep automatically or can enter directly into Year 3. Our curriculum and calendar of activities offer boys a good all-round education in wonderful surroundings.

A Brief History. Our thriving, modern prep school for boys dates back to 1898, when Arthur Bickmore and his wife, Lilian, opened a school with 12 pupils at Yardley Court in Tonbridge. It remained under the leadership of several members of the Bickmore family, who oversaw huge expansion and development of the school, until 1990.
