Book. © 2023. The Nature of X-Rays and Their Interactions with Matter. Home. Book. Authors: Joachim Stöhr. Extends the semi-classical description of x-ray science to novel quantum optics phenomena. Provides a link between the different concepts and language used in the laser/quantum-optics and x-ray communities.
X-rays are a form of radiation or electromagnetic wave, as are radio waves and visible light. Electromagnetic waves are variations in the amplitude of energy in time and are classified according to the speed with which they fluctuate over time.

3 de ago. de 2018 · Definition of X-rays. X-rays belong to the group of electromagnetic rays, hence, they follow the rules of electromagnetic radiation. Electromagnetic radiation transports energy, also called radiant energy, through space by waves and photons, just as radio waves, the visible light or microwaves.
X-Ray. The book, subtitled as an "unauthorized autobiography," employs a nameless 19-year-old first-person narrator hired by 'the Corporation' to seek out and interview a slightly demented geriatric version of Davies himself ten to twenty years after the time of the novel's publication.
