Mr. Lucas was a member of Fast N' Bulbous, a great Downtown mostly instrumental band which included members of the Microscopics and who covered Beefheart's songs in their own weird way. And now, Mr. Lucas has organized a new quintet to cover Captain Beefheart songs from across his entire recording career.
