William Whitaker (1548 – 4 December 1595) was a prominent Protestant Calvinistic Anglican churchman, academic, and theologian. He was Master of St. John's College, Cambridge , and a leading divine in the university in the latter half of the sixteenth century.
William Whitaker is a painter at the forefront of the revival of representational art. Best known for his female figure and portrait painting, the Chicago-born master of classical realism has produced a body of work widely recognized for its unmistakable technique and focus of style.
