Johnny Thunders died in April 1991. His body was found in a hotel room in New Orleans. While Thunders' death may have been drug-related, there is some controversy surrounding the facts of his death as the level of methadone in Thunders' body may not have constituted a fatal dose.

17 de abr. de 2001 · What Goes Around. This CD has material from two early Heartbreakers shows featuring Richard Hell on vocals and bass. The band performs a mixture of Hell and Heartbreakers tunes with Thunders and Hell sharing duties on lead vocals. Sound quality is very poor but it's interesting material.
John Anthony Genzale (July 15, 1952 – April 23, 1991), known professionally as Johnny Thunders, was an American guitarist, singer and songwriter. [1] He came to prominence in the early 1970s as a member of New York Dolls. He later played with the Heartbreakers and as a solo artist.
