Little is the debut album by Vic Chesnutt, released in 1990. [5] Produced by R.E.M. frontman Michael Stipe, it was Chesnutt's first solo release. [1] The album was re-released on July 5, 2004, on the New West Records label and included five bonus tracks.
John Michael Stipe (/ ˈ s t aɪ p /; born January 4, 1960) is an American singer, songwriter and artist, best known as the lead singer and lyricist of alternative rock band R.E.M. Possessing a distinctive voice, Stipe has been noted for the "mumbling" style of his early career.
After leaving that group, he began performing solo on a regular basis at the 40 Watt Club; it was there that he was spotted by Michael Stipe of R.E.M. Stipe went on to produce Chesnutt's first two albums, Little (1990) and West of Rome (1991).
