The fourth and last original Cactus album, 'Ot 'n' Sweaty (1972), featured rhythm section Bogert and Appice joined by Werner Fritzschings on guitar, Duane Hitchings on keyboards and Peter French (ex-Leaf Hound and Atomic Rooster) on vocals. Shortly before the final breakup, guitarist Ricky Ramirez replaced Fritzschings.

Werner comes from the writing, touring and recording "with the band" side of the music business. He plays with a deep understanding and respect for old blues with an overlay of "Sex Pistols" punk. Werner began his career at the tail-end of the dreaded corporate rock era, playing for Lou Gramm of "Foreigner", Hall and Oates and Robert Gordon.
