It was produced by Zappa, with Wilson credited as executive producer.

Los Lobos named their album Just Another Band from East L.A. - A Collection after Zappa's Just Another Band From L.A.. Wild Man Fischer, who once recorded in Frank Zappa's studio, later had a falling-out with him.
