Ten Years Afterというと、アルヴィン・リーのギタープレイがウリっていうイメージが強かったのですが、このアルバムはまったく違います。 このバンドはライブでは水を得た魚のようなのですが、スタジオ盤になるととたんに精彩が無くなるという両極端なバンド。

There are those who are going to infer that Watt had many of the same ingredients as its predecessors, particularly Cricklewood Green, where to that I’d say that Ten Years After were a very influential though musically limited band who rolled out a continuous run of stoner blues-rock where any song from any album could be inserted anywhere within their catalog and it would seem to make sense.
