There are things that work in comic books, and there are things that work in movies, but not many that work in both.

The show felt like it told a story in a similar way to how Alan Moore told Watchmen. Stylistically it held up, loved the world building, but to me it just didn’t feel like a real sequel. Again the show was fantastic, beautiful shots, the Dr Manhattan subplot was fantastic. The ending fell a bit flat for me though.
