The Fabulous Thunderbirds es una banda de blues rock, formada en 1974.Después de tocar por la oscuridad en la zona de Austin, consiguieron un contrato de grabación con Chrysalis Records y más adelante con Arista Records.. La formación inicial contaba con Kim Wilson en la armónica y voz, Jimmie Vaughan en la guitarra, Keith Ferguson en el bajo y Mike Buck en la batería.
The Fabulous Thunderbirds replaced Vaughan with two guitarists, Duke Robillard and Kid Bangham. The first album from the new lineup, Walk That Walk, Talk That Talk, appeared in 1991. Following the release of Walk That Walk, Talk That Talk, Epic/Associated dropped the Fabulous Thunderbirds from their roster.

The album marks a return to the straightforward blues-rock sound of their early material, abandoning the overly commercial production of their previous three albums.
