Track 9 “Dream in an Open Place” is the third instrumental piece on the album. It’s a nice, easy piece, featuring alternate synth and wind-like instrumental leads. It could easily have fit on one of Vangelis’ soundtrack. Altogether, “Voices” has full sound quality, almost symphonic in places.

Voices is een studioalbum uit 1995 van Vangelis, zijn twaalfde 'artiestenalbum' onder die naam.Meestal vermeldde Vangelis zijn medemusici niet in de sleeve van zijn albums, maar met een album waarvan de titel verwees naar de zangers kon hij niet anders. Vangelis has always had a knack of working well with large choirs (H&H, Mask) and single vocalists (Jon Anderson, Irene Papas) so the idea of 'voices' is not so strange. One track does borrow heavily from an Irene Papas track (Menousis) but it's all in a winning effort.
