The College of Liberal Arts and Human Sciences at Virginia Tech comprises two schools, 12 departments, and three ROTC programs. The college also has connections to research facilities and local community service organizations through which students can earn experience in major related fields and has many study abroad programs.
Liberal Arts and Human Science (LAHS) LAHS 1004- First Year Experience: Introduction to a Research University(3 credits) Introduces first-year Liberal Arts and Human Sciences majors to the universitys research mission and the scope and nature of research within the disciplines in the college.
The Explore Liberal Arts and Human Sciences option gives you more time to explore your interests. While the program is not a degree-granting major, it gives you the opportunity to consider different ideas, topics, careers and College of Liberal Arts and Human Sciences majors.
