Ce 10 Juin 1944, elle était en mission dans la Haute-Vienne quand sa voiture fut arrêtée à un barrage des SS.
The Violette Szabo museum is located in the home of her Aunt and Uncle. During Violette’s childhood and SOE training she visited her relatives regularly. This museum is a lasting tribute from her family and contains many interesting items and documents about Violette and the service of the Field Aid Nursing Yeomanry.
The Violette Szabo Museum opened its doors in June 2000 and was the brain child of Rosemary Rigby MBE who was Violette's aunt. Many years of fundraising and collecting artefacts from people who knew Violette or served with her during the war came to fruition on that day in June.
