In 2009, Sancious toured Australia, New Zealand, and Japan on keyboards with Jeff Beck, who was accompanied by Vinnie Colaiuta on drums and Tal Wilkenfeld on bass. In 2010, Sancious toured the UK with Francis Dunnery "Fearless Tour", Tony Beard on drums, Jamie Bishop on bass & Dorie Jackson vocals.
With the release of his 10th album "Eyes Wide Open", new territory is explored once again with 8 energetic compositions , and dynamic performances featuring legendary names such as Vinnie Colaiuta (drums) Will Calhoun (Living Colour) and Prince alumni Michael Bland (drums).
The music dictates what I play, and I only hope that I can do it justice. I also played on the David Sancious' Eyes Wide Open recording. One of the tracks, "War In Heaven", was actually recorded about twenty years ago, and another track was recorded earlier this year. David does some singing on it, and it's very cool, funky fusion.
