A British actress, comedian, screenwriter and producer, Wood was renowned for her acutely observed comedy and warmth and range as a performer in the likes of Victoria Wood: As Seen on TV (1985-1987), Dinnerladies (1998-2000) and Housewife, 49 (2006). She was nominated for 13 BAFTAS, winning four, and also received a Special Award at a 2005 BAFTA Tribute event.

Leben. Victoria Woods Karriere begann 1974 im Alter von 20 Jahren, als sie die Talent-Show New Faces gewann.
