Victor Emerson (1949 – 13 October 2018) was an English musician, songwriter and keyboardist. He was a founder member of the bands Mandalaband and Sad Café. He was co-writer of the latter's 1979 No. 3 UK hit single "Every Day Hurts" and the 1980 No. 14 hit "My Oh My".

Vic Emerson. Keyboards. Vic was a crucial part of the Sad Café sound during their most successful period. He joined the band from the Mandalaband in 1976 and stayed with the outfit until 1984. He also co-wrote a song for “Politics of Existing” and appeared on two tracks that were part of that set.

There can be little doubt that Vic Emerson is currently one of the UK's most respected keyboard players. From his early days in cabaret to the formation of the 'classical rock' Mandala Band and its subsequent reincarnation into Sad Cafe, he has been notable for being one of the few synth-players whose playing and programming ability has stood out in the context of a conventional rock band.
