Vic Briggs was born in Twickenham, Middlesex, England. He was named after his father, an American army captain who was killed in action in France in November 1944, shortly before Briggs' birth. His British mother ensured that Briggs' American citizenship was recognized, through obtaining a U.S. passport for him at an early age.

Victor Briggs. Victor Harvey Briggs was born in Feltham outside of London on February 14, 1945 and died in New Zealand on June 30, 2021. At the age of 17, he was playing professionally. He had been a member of numerous groups during the 60's and spent a year touring with Dusty Springfield as well as playing on many of her records during 1965.
