10 de feb. de 2007 · This compilation, book-ended by their two Beatles covers, includes all the essentials including their own versions of songs they wrote for the Fortunes (You've got your troubles, This golden ring). As performers, David and Jonathan were only a minor part of the sixties music scene but as songwriters, they were much more successful.
They teamed with George Martin to do a cover of the Beatles' "Michelle", which was a hit single in 1966 in both the UK (No. 11 UK Singles Chart) and the U.S. (Billboard Hot 100 No. 18, U.S. AC No. 3). They had a top 10 in the UK in 1966 with "Lovers of the World Unite", which reached No. 7.

Beatles producer George Martin worked with the renamed David & Jonathan in the mid-'60s, and their soft ballad treatment of "Michelle" made the Top 20 in both the U.K. and U.S. Their smooth dual leads were in the vein of Chad & Jeremy, but even more pop-oriented.
