Veedon Fleece is similarly snubbed on more recent hits sets, absent entirely from 2007’s Still On Top and represented with a sole appearance (“Fair Play”) on 2015’s The Essential Van Morrison.
Veedon Fleece is the eighth studio album by Northern Irish singer-songwriter Van Morrison, released in October 1974. Morrison recorded the album shortly after his divorce from wife Janet Rigsbee. With his broken marriage in the past, Morrison visited Ireland on holiday for new inspiration, arriving on 20 October 1973. While there he wrote, in less than three weeks, the songs included on the album.

24 de jun. de 2020 · Morrison recorded “Veeden Fleece” in 1974, six years after “Astral Weeks.”. He had been recently divorced. He was exhausted from touring. With his new lover, he went back to Ireland. In three weeks, he wrote the songs for “Veedon Fleece.”. A month later, he recorded them.
