The V-12 Navy College Training Program was designed to supplement the force of commissioned officers in the United States Navy during World War II. Between July 1, 1943, and June 30, 1946, more than 125,000 participants were enrolled in 131 colleges and universities in the United States.

The Navy V-12 Training Program was established by the United States Navy during World War II to provide large numbers of college-educated men for its officer corps, the United States Marines, and supply units.
15 de ene. de 2021 · The V-12 Navy College Training program was an officer candidacy program active during World War II and was designed to supplement the NROTC program. It required less training but ultimately resulted in a commission. Participants were required to take 17 academic units a semester and complete at least 9.5 physical training hours a week.
The Navy V-12 program was created to generate a large number of officers as well as to offset the dropping enrollment at colleges. Backed by the federal government, the program paid tuition to participating colleges and universities for college courses that were taught to qualified candidates.
