Dissidenten es un grupo musical alemán, formado en la ciudad de Berlín en 1981 por Uve Müllrich, Marlon Klein y Friedo Josch. Tras publicar varios singles, se trasladaron a India donde grabaron su primer álbum "Germanistan", tras realizar una gira asiática, invitados por el maharaja Bhalkrishna Bharti en su palacio de Madja Pradesh.
Bis 1980 unternahmen Uve Müllrich und Michael Wehmeyer bei der Münchner Krautrock- und Weltmusikband Embryo „Experimente zwischen Orient und Okzident“. Embryo is a world music band from Munich, West Germany (now Germany) that began in 1969. Its origins have even been traced to the 1950s in the city of Hof, when musicians Christian Burchard and Dieter Serfas met at the age of 10.
