Organized by Supeena Adler, this monumental concert brought together internationally acclaimed Thai musicians and dancers with UCLA students and the greater UCLA community. The Ethnomusicology Archive holds one of the world’s great collections of audio and video recordings documenting kulingang gong music and dance around the world.
Our programs and faculty are housed in the award-winning Evelyn and Mo Ostin Music Center, a pair of facilities completed in 2014, and in Schoenberg Music Building, named in honor of famed composer and former UCLA music faculty member Arnold Schoenberg. Across these facilities, students can access the latest advances in music technology, research and pedagogy.

Established in 1961, the UCLA Ethnomusicology Archive is a world-renowned research archive dedicated to the study of musical traditions from around the globe.
Founded in 2002, UCLA Symphony is UCLA's campus-wide orchestra, drawing its membership from throughout the university community and performing a full spectrum of symphonic repertoire. It meets Wednesday evenings from 7:15 to 9:45 PM, performs one concert per quarter, and is open to all UCLA undergraduates, graduate/professional school students, faculty, staff, and affiliates.

In October 2023, Herb Alpert School of Music alumnus Enrico Lopez-Yañez was introduced as the next Principal Pops Conductor of the Detroit Symphony Orchestra, to commence with the 2024–2025 season. Enrico always knew he wanted to perform and be around music.
