A Twist in the Myth is the eighth studio album by the German power metal band Blind Guardian. It was originally set to be released on 5 September 2006 in Europe (which became the North American release date), but Nuclear Blast changed the release date to 1 September 2006.

A Twist in the Myth es el octavo disco de la banda germana de power metal Blind Guardian, lanzado en septiembre de 2006. Es el primer álbum con su nuevo batería Frederik Ehmke, quien sustituye a Thomen "The Omen" Stauch.
"Fly" is a song by German power metal band Blind Guardian and the second single from their 2006 album A Twist in the Myth. Two of the songs are from the album ("Fly" and "Skalds and Shadows"), with the latter being an acoustic version only available on the single.

24 de feb. de 2011 · Un disco de Blind Guardian sin Stauch, ya era de por sí, difícil de asimilar (nadie puede olvidar, y menos si eres un declarado fan de la obra de los alemanes, el trabajo del gran batería), y con el anterior disco, que fue bastante criticado, no cabía la idea de entregar algo mediocre.
«A Twist in the Myth» es un disco sensacional de principio a fin. Su vertiginosa arrancada es una demostración de fuerza y técnica al alcance de muy pocas bandas, y tan solo por los primeros 4 temas ya la compra del album está más que justificada.
