Discussion/Theory. Lots of elements of the return (the setting, Jacoby’s absurdity, the Mitchum Brothers, the way it was filmed, drug scenes that had a different take than the original, etc.) reminded me a lot of modern tv hits such as Breaking Bad and Better Call Saul. Lynch said he was inspired by Breaking Bad in general and loved it.
