Dame Lesley Lawson DBE (born Lesley Hornby 19 September 1949, in London, England) is an English actress, fashion model and singer, known professionally as Twiggy. Her childhood nickname Twiggy came from her thin legs. In the 1960s, when she first became famous she weighed only 6.5 stone (91 lb).
Twiggy's personal life has been characterized by enduring relationships and her commitment to philanthropic causes. She married Michael Witney in 1977, and their daughter Carly was born the following year. Tragically, Michael Witney passed away in 1983. Later, Twiggy found love with Leigh Lawson, whom she married in 1988.
