Tamalpais Research Institute (TRI Studios) is a state of the art, world-class audio, video, streaming venue, and recording facility created by legendary Grateful Dead founding member, and 1994 Rock & Roll Hall of Fame Inductee, Bob Weir.
This album of trio recordings includes two tracks with Jerry Garcia, one track with Bob Weir and one with Bruce Hornsby. A version of the Dead song Easy Answers is included performed by Weir, Wasserman and Neil Young.
On the albums Duets and Trios, he worked with Bobby McFerrin, Rickie Lee Jones, Cheryl Bentyne, Lou Reed, Stéphane Grappelli, Jerry Garcia, Brian Wilson, Willie Dixon, Branford Marsalis, Bob Weir, Edie Brickell, Les Claypool, Neil Young, and Elvis Costello. Duets was nominated for three Grammy Awards.

Billed as Bob Weir & Wolf Bros, the group initially was a trio, with Weir on guitar and vocals, Don Was on upright bass, and Jay Lane on drums. They toured the U.S. in the fall of 2018, the spring of 2019, and in early 2020.
