Trevor Hutchinson is a Northern Irish bass player and a founding member of Lúnasa. Born in Cookstown, County Tyrone, in Northern Ireland, he played with numerous bands before Lúnasa, including The Waterboys and Sharon Shannon .
In the meantime, Smyth was touring in Scandinavia with the rhythmical duo Donogh Hennessy and Trevor Hutchinson, and recruited them to join the band. Calling themselves Lúnasa, they began performing and touring; the first album, Lúnasa , was recorded while the group was on tour in 1998 and released to critical acclaim.
Lunasa is a contemporary Irish music group that features Trevor Hutchinson, former bassist of The Waterboys, among its members. The band has won multiple awards and toured over 36 countries, collaborating with singers and artists such as Natalie Merchant and Bruce Springsteen.
