Tove Anita Skutnabb-Kangas [1] (6 July 1940 – 29 May 2023) was a Finnish linguist and educator. She is known for coining the term linguicism to refer to discrimination based on language. Life. Skutnabb-Kangas was born in Helsinki, Finland, and her mother tongues were Finnish and Swedish.
