9 de nov. de 2022 · Creedence Clearwater Revival embodied the spirit of southern swamp rock, even though they had been formed in the bright skies of California. The band, comprised of brothers John and Tom Fogerty, Stu Cook and Doug Clifford, had played together in early iterations of the band since 1959 and eventually settled on the name Creedence Clearwater Revival in 1967.
Tom Fogerty Thomas Richard Fogerty was an American musician, best known as the rhythm guitarist for Creedence Clearwater Revival. He was posthumously inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1993.

Fogerty signed with Fantasy as a solo artist and nearly made the Top 100 with his debut single, 1971's "Goodbye Media Man." His first album, 1972's self-titled Tom Fogerty, was the only one of his LPs to chart, topping out at number 78.
