Toad is the squire of the English countryside estate Toad Hall, which he inherited from his family. Toad is a jovial and friendly figure but he is often ruled by his conceit and impulsiveness which often gets him into trouble. Toad is known for growing obsessed with various activities and then eventually growing bored of them.

2 de may. de 2024 · One day they visit the irrepressible, generous, and boastful Mr. Toad, owner of Toad Hall, who possesses large amounts of money but not much brain. Toad is given to fads , and Mole and Rat join him in an excursion in his present enthusiasm, a horse-drawn caravan (a cart with beds and cooking equipment), until a speeding automobile frightens the horse and wrecks the caravan.
"Toad of Toad Hall' is the first of several dramatisations of Kenneth Grahame's 'The Wind in the Willows' which itself was first published in 1908. The play, adapted in 1929, includes incidental music by Harold Fraser-Simson. The play has four main characters: Ratty, Badger, Mole and Toad. The story begins with Mole doing his spring cleaning.
