I've always appreciated Ritchie Blackmore skill as a guitarist since I first got the "Shades of Deep Purple" album back in the late 1960s. In fact, I like DP Mark One the best of all and thought everything after "Deep Purple In Rock" was a downward trend. Rainbow was often better much than the later DP incarnations especially with Ronnie James Dio.
