Mallare was reportedly in D.R.I. for about a year, in 1990-1991, as the replacement for Felix Griffin. He would be replaced briefly by John Tempesta and then permanently by Rob Rampy .
Falck was replaced by former M.O.D. drummer Tim Mallare, with whom the next Overkill album I Hear Black was recorded. Released in March 1993, I Hear Black was produced by Alex Perialas (who previously produced their albums Taking Over and Under the Influence), and was the first Overkill album released directly through Atlantic Records.

I never knew the kid's name - I used to call him Sticks. And I said to him one day, you're waiting for Tim Mallare [Overkill drummer from 1993-2005] to drop dead onstage so you can throw in.
