11 May. ( 1979-05-11) –. 15 June 1979. ( 1979-06-15) Two Up, Two Down is a British sitcom starring Paul Nicholas and Su Pollard. It aired for one series in 1979 and marked the television comedy debut of Su Pollard, later to become well known as Peggy in Hi-de-Hi!. It was written by Janey Preger.
Comedy series about Nick and Angie, a young married couple, Angie's snobbish mother Daphne, and Nick's cockney father Sam. Much of the humour arises from the fact that the mismatched Daphne and Sam are forced by circumstances to share the flat below that occupied by their children.
Three Up Two Down. Daphne is annoyed with Giles for cheating over the Chinese meal but relents when she learns that he is a genuine major. She is excited when her friend Camilla arrives from Cheltenham to visit and cannot believe that Camilla would be sexually attracted to Sam - until she catches her sneaking out of his window.
