Thornlea Secondary School is a public high school, in the Regional Municipality of York, that opened in 1968 and is located in Markham, Ontario, Canada, in the Thornhill neighbourhood, on the northeast corner of Bayview Avenue and Willowbrook Road, just south of Highway 407.
Thornlea Secondary School was officially opened in 1968. Additions, including a pool, were placed on the original school building in 1973 and 2000. Thornlea has been used in the past as a case study for innovation in secondary schools by The University of Toronto’s Faculty of Education.
