In his major-league debut, he dropped the first ball hit to him for an error and got his first hit, a triple, in his second at-bat.
Gorman Thomas is a two-time home run champion, leading all American League (AL) sluggers in homers hit in 1979 (45 HRs / Top 25), and 1982 (39 HRs / Top 25).
