Dhi Qar Governorate (Arabic: ذي قار, romanized: Thi Qār, Arabic: [ðiː qɑːr]) is a governorate in southern Iraq, in the Arabian Peninsula.The provincial capital is Nasiriyah.Prior to 1976 the governorate was known as Muntafiq Governorate.
